About Scented Geraniums
Below the photo there's a link that will provide you with some interesting facts about the Scented Leaf Pelargonium group. We also write regular articles and provide lots of Tips in the Hot Topics section of our website.
Annie and Guy's Comments: Sweet Miriam was introduced by John Cook to America in 1984. A 'chance' seedling according to John. A couple of years later Sweet Mimosa appeared in an English catalogue and as notable differences are slight it has been suggested that Sweet Mimosa was disreputably 'poached' from her American cousin. It would seem, therefore, that Sweet Mimosa may be an imposter although you will find her listed in the English Catalogues.
Disputes aside, Sweet Miriam makes a very attractive scented geranium with a distinct balsam scent which fills the air when touched. The leaves are excellent for cooking and would be good for flavouring sponges.
